Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how FaceSwap AI ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). By using the App you agree to the practices described below. This policy is published in compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act").

1. Information We Collect

Account information

When you sign in with Google or Apple we receive your name, email address and profile photo from that provider. We do not receive or store your Google or Apple password.

Photos and videos you upload

To create a face swap you upload a photo of a face. If you use your own clip, you also upload a short video. These files are sent to our servers, processed to generate your result, and the resulting image or video is stored so it can be delivered back to you and appear in your creations.

We do not use your uploaded photos or videos to train models, and we do not sell them or share them with advertisers.

Preferences

You may select a face type (male or female). This is used only to pick a matching preview and to guide the render.

Device and usage information

• A push notification token, if you allow notifications, so we can send you updates.
• Usage counts - which templates are saved and shared, in aggregate.
• Basic technical information needed to deliver the service, such as your app version and device type.

Subscription information

Purchases are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We receive confirmation of your subscription status. We never receive your card or bank details.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To generate the face swaps you request.
• To keep you signed in and show you your own creations.
• To provide and manage premium subscriptions.
• To send notifications you have opted into.
• To detect abuse and keep the service running reliably.
• To improve the App - for example, by seeing which template categories are popular.

3. Storage on Your Device

Some information is stored only on your phone, including your list of creations and cached template artwork. Signing out or uninstalling the App removes it.

4. Sharing

We share information only with the service providers needed to run the App:

• Google Firebase - sign-in and push notifications.
• Our rendering backend - performs the face swap.
• Google Play / Apple App Store - subscription billing.

We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect our rights or the safety of users.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. Retention

Account information is kept while your account is active. Uploaded photos and videos, and the results generated from them, are kept while your account is active so your creations remain available to you. When you delete your account we delete or anonymise this data, except where we are required to keep records by law.

6. Your Rights

You can:

• Access and correct your account details from the Profile screen.
• Delete individual creations at any time from the Creations screen.
• Delete your account and associated data - see Delete your account.
• Withdraw notification consent in your device settings at any time.

7. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.

8. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and access to stored data is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Responsible Use

You should only upload photos of yourself, or of people who have agreed to it. Using someone's likeness without permission, or to mislead, harass or impersonate, is prohibited - see our Terms of Service.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified in the App or by updating the date at the top of this page.
